Frequently Asked Questions

Updated 5/19/23

  • Please email me if you have an emergency. You are booked with the email I use to communicate with all clients. It is run by my assistant. We do not have a shop phone so you will not be able to call.

If you are more than 15 minutes late and I have not heard from you, you will be counted as a no show. I am only at work for appointments and if I don’t hear from you I may leave. Also note that if you are going to be more than 15 minutes late and you do contact me I may need to reschedule you if my schedule does

If you do not show up for your appointment, you will lose your deposit and I will need a new one to reschedule you. If you have an emergency and/or are late to your appointment I will check emails myself to see if there has been any communication. Please note that my privacy settings on my Instagram do not allow people I am not following to message me (this is to minimize harassment and price shopping).

  • I am currently working at Sacred Magnolia located at 40 Groces Road, Lyman, South Carolina 29365 right on Lyman’s mainstreet. There is parking on the street in front, a lot to the side of the building, and behind our building.

  • We do not take walk ins. We are an appointment only shop.

  • I currently work Tuesday through Saturday at the shop. I book all appointments between 10am and 4pm. I draw Monday through Friday usually between 8pm and 12am unless it’s during a booking period in which case I work more. I schedule between 1 and 3 clients a day depending on the intricacy of the designs.

  • Touch ups are free, therefore they do not require a deposit, but must be done within 6 months of your appointment and must meet certain requirements.Touch ups are to fix things that may not have healed perfectly like line fallout or absent color spots. They are not to be used to add on to existing tattoos or to refresh old tattoos. Your tattoos are supposed to age with you. Email me directly if you need a touch up with a picture of what needs to be touched up and we’ll get back to you right away.

  • You can pay the remainder of your balance (cost minus deposit) with card, cash, or Venmo. We also have an ATM if you prefer to pay cash, but forget.

  • A valid photo ID is required to be tattooed. You will not be tattooed if you do not have a valid ID.

A few optional things that I would suggest would be:

Water and or non alcoholic beverage to keep you hydrated (sports drinks are very helpful if you feel a little woozy at all). We typically keep bottled water stocked for you as well.

We have a little snack arrangement you are welcome to with candy and chip/chip like products, but you are welcome to bring your own food.

A thin pillow if you will be laying down or sitting for long periods of time. Squishmallows are also recommended! 🥰

A blanket or warm clothes that don’t cover the area to be tattooed is recommended. The shop is sometimes cold and you will want to be comfortable while being tattooed.

A towel to lay on in case you get sweaty and sticky and that makes you uncomfy.

Headphones are required by me if you want to listen to your own music, podcast, or if you are scrolling on TikTok. I have sensory issues and cannot focus if there are too many sounds.

  • Moisturizing the area is extremely helpful. If it’s not already in your daily regimen, moisturize the area to be tattooed every day for a week leading up to your appointment for the best results. Stay hydrated and eat a good meal before your appointment time.

  • You may bring 1 person with you, but I do prefer you come alone. There is only a minimum amount of space, but don’t worry if you need some support I gottchu. They must be aware that this time is for you and not a time for them to try to get tattooed or have a consultation.

  • No. You will not be contacted if you no call no show. A 15 minute grace period is observed for you to contact me via the ways in the first FAQ. All guests are sent reminders about appointments. It is up to you to contact me if you want to put down a replacement deposit to rebook. Rebooking is at my discretion.

  • Yes! All the ink I use is vegan. Most of the commonly used professional ink brands are vegan. I use Allegory, World Famous, Fusion, and Eternal.

  • Loose comfy clothes is the best thing especially when getting tattooed for more than an hour at a time. If you want to wear pajamas with slippers, go for it. I always recommend socks so you can be comfortable if you want to remove your shoes. Yes, you can always remove your shoes to be more comfy.

For sternum, stomach, or chest tattoos I recommend a button up that you can adjust to your comfort level. I have pasties to provide as well.

For thigh pieces I recommend loose sweatpants and loose underwear I can slide or tape out of the way if you are going up the side. Its easy to slide one leg out and cover the rest of you up in case you get cold and you’ll be less exposed than in a dress. Whatever makes you the most comfortable is best.

For shoulder pieces tank tops are great or shirts you can slide an arm out of the top in.

For upper back a tube top works great and so does a button up that you can turn around backwards. Comfort is key.

  • The start time of your appointment includes you filling out our consent form so no need to show up early. This form must be filled out each time you have a new appointment and you must have your valid ID on you. You are consenting to a new procedure each time. This time also includes making minor changes to your design, getting the size and placement exactly right, tattooing, and aftercare application

  • While I can’t tell you exactly how much your tattoo would be here, I can tell you that my minimum is $100. That does not mean the tiny star you want on your wrist is worth $100. That means I don’t want to book anything less than $100. If you want very minimal tattoos and want to work with me, I suggest waiting until you have a couple you want to get at one time.

My hourly rate is $150/hr. This does not include breaks or applying the stencil. I charge strictly for tattooing time.

When your appointment is booked my assistant knows the amount of time I have booked you for. You are welcome to ask her how long you are booked. This amount of time is a maximum estimate. Very large scale, sleeve work, and sometimes cover ups may not have an end time and depends on how long you’d like to sit for your sessions.

  • If/when you are chosen from the submissions, my assistant will reach out in 1 of a few ways.

If you are local and I need a consultation we will book that first. (Typically not necessary unless for cover ups or large scale)

If you are good to go ahead and book, I will send you a link to the deposit form that you will need to fill out/pay before being booked. You will be offered a date after we receive your deposit. If the our schedules simply cannot line up, I will refund your deposit.

IF your piece is declined, please don’t be offended. I have my own abilities and am now able to have preferences on the pieces I take on. I may be the artist you want to work with, but that doesn’t mean I can take on a piece that is not for me and I can’t take everyone.

  • I do not send out any designs for any reason. There is time included in your appointment slot to make any minor changes to your design if needed. If you wish to change/add to your idea before the day of you appointment you must notify me at least 48 hours prior and another consult/appointment may be necessary depending on the change.

  • Your deposit will hold your appointment time on my calendar. The balance will come off the price of your tattoo. If you cancel or no call no show, your deposit is forfeit.

  • I’m not a commission artist. All the designs I create are to be tattooed by me. There are plenty of artists that will take commissions and draw what you would like in their style. I personally don’t have the time to take on that and tattooing full time. I only draw for appointments I have scheduled.

  • If you go to my instagram page there is a link in my Linktree in my bio to the brand of numbing cream that I suggest. Please understand that numbing cream needs to sit on the skin for 2 hours covered in plastic before your appointment for it to be effective.

  • My Starbucks order is a grande iced half decaf sugar free vanilla latte with oat milk (I’m lactose intolerant and caffeine sensitive)

I like chicken nuggets, gummy sharks, ginger ale, Cheetos, dill pickle chips, and mango or strawberry anything.

Any time yall choose to bring me anything, its truly a gift and I love you.
